Sanctions screening in Poland

From 10 July 2027, Regulation (EU) 2024/1624 applies directly in every Member State. The EU consolidated sanctions list already binds Poland today.

Who supervises

• Generalny Inspektor Informacji Finansowej (GIIF) — Financial intelligence unit
• Ministerstwo Spraw Wewnętrznych i Administracji (MSWiA) — Maintains the national sanctions list

National law

• Ustawa z dnia 1 marca 2018 r. o przeciwdziałaniu praniu pieniędzy oraz finansowaniu terroryzmu — Ustawa z dnia 1 marca 2018 r.
• Ustawa z dnia 13 kwietnia 2022 r. o szczególnych rozwiązaniach w zakresie przeciwdziałania wspieraniu agresji na Ukrainę oraz służących ochronie bezpieczeństwa narodowego — Ustawa z dnia 13 kwietnia 2022 r.
